I have been following this case for 10 years and I am somewhat pleased that at least someone has been caught for this horrific murder on an innocent person. I still can’t understand the mentality of someone who would do this I guess they are evil and were born that way. I’m a 36 yearold man from portadown and never in the history of the troubles have I ever heard of such evil acts toward another person. I think the people if I can call them people did this should rot in jail and then hell awaits them they will regret the day they did this crime because they will suffer badly. I hope I’m not being to angry on what I said but it has to be said as it is the truth. I just want to wish David’s family hope for the future. God bless David

Hi.
I was reading the paper today and this sad case was brought up again.
Its quite sad for me to read about it even though I didnt know David that well.

I was in Lurgan Tech with David and I’d just like to say he was a very friendly kind person.
I’m not just saying that to be polite, I remember a time when in Fa’ Joes that David noticed I was left on my own by a few of my friends who had left early.
He called me over and told me to sit beside him bought me pint and introduced me to everyone and I had a great night.

He didnt even know me at the time and I thought that this gesture was a sure sign of a nice person.
He had lots of friends around him yet still looked around to see was anyone being left out.

The people in that Tech were great, political/religious matters just didnt matter as everyone enjoyed eachothers company – how it should be.
David even came to ‘the other side’ (as its stupidly known) of Lurgan for a few nights out sith us.

He was a great lad and will be remembered as such.

I think its shocking that the ‘Police’ use terrorists to do work for them illegally and no-one gets punished.
It’s completely immoral.
Makes you wonder what else goes on that people dont know about.

As usual such corruption is flippantly disregarded at the whim of any daft excuse.

Good luck in your campaigns, its things like this that make a real difference to how Policing and justice will be done in the future.
Hopefully such evil people wont be able to make a fortune from our own taxes while working illegally for the Police.

I went to Brownlow college with David and just wanted to leave you this message to say I am so glad that you and your family got a bit of justice for david at last and I hope you continue to get more justice in the near future.

Dear Paul,
As I was, I would like to think, your father’s best buddy at school and still a close friend today, I would like to say how glad I am that you and your family have at last gotten some kind of closure to the long and heartrending period since the tragic loss of your beloved son, David, and that justice ‘of a kind ‘has been meted out to someone who had a hand in the evil and monstrous crime that led to the death of David. I hope that you are successful in your mission to find full and final justice for the two young men who lost their lives and shattered the lives of others in losing them and I leave you with my fondest regards and admiration for the future..Please give my best to all your family and especially ‘the oul fella’ with whom I spent my happy schooldays.

Whilst nothing can ever compensate any off you for the loss of a son and brother i hope that todays sentence can only serve to bring you all, along with Andrews family, some small degree of closure. Your strength and fortitude, not only throughout the trial but also for the past nine years have been truly inspirational. God bless you all.

R.I.P two incocent boys killed by a thug, the unfortunate thing is that revels came from a well respected family but that boy was messed up from a young age!! thats not an excuse but the day he ran over my fathers grave and smashed up the flower pots and ripped the heads of the flowers in front of me it broke my heart that was when i was 6 years old im now 24 and i have not got over it.. i hope he gets what he deserves its just a pitty he could not own up and hold his hands up and say he was guilty!!

i have much respect for the McIlwaine and Robb family.. i only wish that the other people involved could come forward, someone knows something!!
