Paul’s summary of recent testimony in Revels case
Last week in court, the police said five tyre marks had been found at scene, yet Burcombe says one Peugot only was used during the course of the crime.
Burcombe also said Monday when Revels, Dillon and he got back after killing, Revels said to him, “I’m goin’ back to slice them 2 bastards up.” This to me ties in with what retired RUC man Steven William Brown said– that a short time later one car returned to scene. What is disturbing is that neither Debbie Maxwell or Philip Donnelly are being called to testify!
Burcombe says the car stopped and Dillon said, “Get the fuck out everybody.” He and David went down lane to look for a house/drink/drugs. Some way down David said “nothing here” and turned to go back. Burcombe said, “They’re goin to give Robb a beating,” and David said, “Nothing to do with me.”
Robb was said to be asleep in the car. As they approached the car, Revels/Dillon came towards David, Revels punched David in the head knocking him to the ground. Revels and Dillon then stood on his head and legs and chest. Revels started kicking him in the head, taking runs and kicking like penalty kicks in football.
Burcombe says he said “fuck sake wise up.” He says they were kicking so hard his body was moving.
Revels said to Dillon, “Cut the bastard’s throat.” Dillon dropped to knees over David’s chest and in right hand started sawing motion. Burcombe was 5ft away at this time. He said he couldn’t contemplate what took place. Asked did he intervene, he said, “No I thought about running but they would murder me. I hid away back of car 60 meters away.”
He said the door of the car was open and he could see David on the road. A few minutes later Revels/Dillon returned to the car. They heard a heavy wheezing noise coming from David who was gasping for breath.
The interior light was on in the car. Dillon had a jumper on and was wiping blood off of his arm, then wrapped the knife in his jumper. They could still hear noise from David. Revels said, “Drive over the bastard’s head.” Dillon said “Calm down don’t run him over.” They stopped the car at David, Revels took the knife from Dillon and Revels got out. The door was left open and Burcombe coudd see 1ft away, David still gasping for breath. Revels clasped the knife in a downward motion and repeatedly stabbed David 10-15 times very violently. There were loud thuds, David stopped gasping and Revels was grunting.
Revels and Dillon were both breathing heavy. Revels pushed back in seat as he drove off with the car swerving. Dillon said “Calm down.” Revels said, “Fuck sake what a buzz that give me such a buzz. I forgot what it was like to kill.”
He said, “David looked at me so I stuck the knife in his eye, sounded like guttin’ a fish.” He said, “When I pulled out the knife I thought his head was going to come off on the knife.” Dillon made no comment.
Burcombe was asked how Revels seemed, and he said Revels seemed proud of what he had done.
Said car drove about 10 minutes, didn’t know where to because it was dark. They pulled up to some fields and an old building. Revels took the knife from Dillon said, “If you say anything I’ll cut your throat.”
It was a large butchers knife with a wooden handle. Burcombe said, “I’m sayin nothin, I’m no tout.” Burcombe said Revels got out and Dillon got in back. He offered to shake hands but he refused. He said, “I already said I’m no tout”, and Dillon made the same threat as Revels made. Revles went back to the car and said, “Sorted.” After a short car ride, Revels pointed to his foster parents’ home, a white building.
Back at Revels, Dillon had no top on and had a bottle of vodka . Revels and Dillon were in the kitchen, and Burcombe could hear the bath running. Revels came in said, “Such a buzz, forgot what it was like to kill. The two bastards deserved it.”
He said, “I’m going back to cut them up, don’t you fuck off.” He looked at his boots. There was a difference in colour, also his jeans and clothes had blood on them. 15 minutes later he returned. He had changed clothes and washed.
Burcombe asked could he go home and Dillon said to get in the car as if nothing had happened. It wasn’t the Peugot this time, it was a Rover red/burgundy 4 door with tiger covers on the seats, fresh and clean. Dillon drove Burcombe to his mother’s. He phoned Revels mobile from his mother’s house the next day and they met in town. Dillon, driving the red rover, went to Ballymore Inn and had 1 pint.
